Late in March 2015, extremely clear photos of a custom Off-White x Air Force 1 pair surfaced online. Apparently, some anonymous fan for responsible for designing the custom sneaker because it was not commissioned by anyone from Off-White or Nike. Initially, many mistakenly assumed that the photos had been leaked. No one could have guessed that an actual collaboration between the two brands would end up taking place. Maybe that custom pair was responsible for giving Off-White and Nike the idea to team up. Even more coincidentally, for this upcoming collaboration, Off-White and Nike ended up choosing the Air Force 1 Low.
Ian Connor was the very first one to tease this Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low through a photo that he shared on his Instagram account (). Near the beginning of this month, A$AP Bari of the hip hop collective ASAP Mob also confirmed the arrival of this collaborative sneaker by sharing a photo on his Twitter account (). Finally, last but not least, Virgil Abloh himself has confirmed that an Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low is indeed in the works. There could definitely be no better confirmation than from the owner of Off-White and therefore, sneakerheads may begin preparing for its arrival.
This most latest photo features just the right shoe, but it appears to be far more clearer than previous ones. As can be clearly seen in this particular one, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low features predominantly Black-colored sleek leather uppers. It is easy to guess that both the lateral and medial side of each shoe has the large Metallic Silver-colored Nike “Swoosh” logo stitched onto it. Additionally, the midsoles feature White-colored “Air” branding, laces actually have “SHOELACE” printed on them, and the tongues feature the “NIKE AIR” branding. However, a release date for this sneaker is yet to be announced, so keep checking back.
