As mentioned, just about every Air Jordan release that Jordan Brand has dropped to date has featured the “Wings” branding. The only exception would be the recent Air Jordan 1 Rare Air sneakers that have arrived between 2015 and 2016, which replaced the “Wings” logo with simple “AIR JORDAN” textual branding. Of course, the Air Jordan 12 “Wings” was not only nicknamed after that branding, but also featured it as well. All of the proceeds generated from the sales of the sneaker went to the Wings Foundation. Apparently, the same will happen once the Air Jordan 1 High “Wings” ends up joining the Summer Air Jordan releases 2017.
These latest, most detailed photos of the Air Jordan 1 High “Wings” were recently shared on Instagram by user The sneaker does not seem to resemble last year’s Air Jordan 12 “Wings,” at least on the surface. As can be seen, its uppers are dressed in a combination of Black and Gold, which make it look as if it is actually made up of bronze. It is also equipped with special leather laces, while the “Wings” logo appears over the heels and tongues, and its insoles also feature the Golden-colored wings pattern. It also has translucent, smoky outsoles with “WINGS” printed over it.
Additionally, the inner tongue tabs of the Air Jordan 1 High “Wings” also feature the words “19,400” and “EVERYONE CAN FLY.” The number likely signifies how many pairs of this sneaker Jordan Brand has produced and will be dropping as a part of their Summer Air Jordan releases 2017.
