Before November reached its conclusion, Eastbay quite a grave error revolving around a particular Air Jordan 1 colorway, which may have ended up proving to be quite a perfect early Christmas present. The sneaker in question is actually supposed to be joining February’s Jordan releases 2018 next year. It is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Bred Toe.” Thanks to Eastbay’s mistake, some lucky customers ended up accidentally receiving a pair each of the Air Jordan 1 “Bred Toe” that is not supposed to hit the shelves until next year. Jordan Brand also seems to have designed another rather unique colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro.
Apparently, December’s Air Jordan releases 2017 will also include two Air Jordan 1 High OG colorways, one dubbed “Igloo” and the other “Rust Pink.” These two colorways of the Air Jordan 1 actually seem to look like variations of the model’s famous “Black Toe” colorway. The difference is that they have been dressed up in Miami aesthetic, giving off Art Deco vibes inspired by the city’s own heritage. The colorways get their nicknames from the pastel hues that cover the heels/collars, outsoles and tongue branding. The rest of their uppers are identically dressed up in a Black and White color scheme, including Black-colored branding on the sides.
The special colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro mentioned earlier is the one seen above, which has been dubbed “RE2PECT.” The colorway may probably appear to be kind of bland because of its monochrome, simple Black and White color scheme. However, the Black-colored panels over its leather uppers are actually made up of 3M reflective material. This means that words like “DISCIPLINE,” “FEARLESS,” “FOCUS,” “LEAD,” “PASSION” and “RE2PECT,” which basically reads “Respect,” will be visible whenever light flashes onto those panels. Additionally, its insoles feature unique “Jumpman RE2PECT” branding, while the traditional “Nike Air” logo can be spotted over its tongues.
Coincidentally, so far it remains unknown when of these sneakers will be making their respective retail debuts, apart from the fact that the “Bred Toe” will be among next year’s Air Jordan releases 2018 in February. Moreover, the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Igloo” and “Rust Pink” are expected to hit the shelves in December 2017, and maybe even the Air Jordan 1 Retro “RE2PECT” might arrive at retailers this very month.
