To those who are not familiar with Chris Paul and even many basketball enthusiasts too, it may seem hard to believe that he is 31 years old. Despite that fact, the point guard of the Los Angeles Clippers and Jordan Brand athlete is still in his prime and is undoubtedly one of the NBA’s finest two-way point guard. Once the 2016-17 season begins, it will be 12 years since Chris Paul has been performing as an NBA athlete and it will also be 6 years that he has spent as a part of the Clippers. Turns out that Chris’ CP3.X is receiving the “Space Jam” treatment as well.
Chris Paul happens to be a very competitive NBA athlete, which explains how he has taken part in nine All-Star Games in a row. For the past five consecutive seasons, he has also been a part of the All-Defensive First Team. So far in 2016, Chris is among the topmost athletes in terms of steals, with 2.7 steals per game. Throughout his career, he has done this six times. At the moment, he is also the NBA’s first Defensive Box Plus/Minus and defensive rating. So, despite not being in his absolute physical prime, he continues to perform like he used to six or so years ago.
It turns out that along with the coveted Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” and the recently unveiled Air Jordan 1 Ultra High “Space Jam,” a few other Jordan Brand models will be sporting this iconic color scheme. One of them is apparently Chris Paul’s CP3.X. As can be seen here, it is predominantly a Black colored sneaker, but Purple-colored accents can be spotted throughout. This sneaker also appears to be equipped with clear icy outsoles and White-colored speckles make an appearance throughout the uppers.
While Jordan Brand’s other Space Jam-themed releases will take a bit of time to arrive at retailers, that does not seem to be the case here. The Jordan CP3.X “Space Jam” has surprisingly already hit the shelves at select Jordan Brand retailers, such as Rise.
