Ever since February 2017, many sneakerheads have likely become focused on the latest installment in the adidas Yeezy line, the Calabasas Runner or the Yeezy Boost 700 Runner. Of course, adidas still has plenty of Yeezy Boost 350 V2 colorways that they will drop in the coming months before this year comes to an end. As sneakerheads probably recall, adidas dropped the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Zebra” just last year on February 25th. That was the most recent Boost 350 V2 and it retailed for $220. It turns out that the “Zebra” iteration has inspired a brand new, upcoming colorway of the adidas EQT Support AD.
Compared to the “Black/Red” colorway of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 that hit the shelves before it, the “Zebra” iteration received a relatively more limited release. The sneaker was dressed up a starkly contrasting color scheme and that is where it got its “Zebra” nickname from. In other words, the sneaker’s uppers were plain White and were covered in Black-colored stripes that resembles the appearance on an actual zebra. The sides of the sneaker also featured reversed “SPLY-350” branding, while it was equipped with milky, translucent Boost soles. Even Red made an appearance over its uppers as accents.
When it comes to the models that adidas has introduced in recent times, there is no doubt that the Yeezy silhouettes are the most popular, but the EQT Support ADV is not far behind. Drawing a link between the two would not really have been possible, but now the EQT Support ADV colorway is actually drawing from a previous Yeezy Boost 350 V2 one. This particular EQT Support ADV iteration also has Primeknit uppers covered in Black- and White-colored stripes, granting it that zebra-like look, while Turbe Red appears over the heels. The EQT Support ADV Primeknit “Zebra” is set to make its retail debut at a price of $140 at select adidas retailers.
