The Air Foamposite is one of Nike’s most recognized models. Both its versions, the Foamposite One and the Foamposite Pro, had originally made their retail debuts back in 1997, so the iconic and revolutionary silhouette has already been around for nineteen years. Both forms of the Air Foamposite had equally aided that generation of basketball athletes and opened the minds of sneaker designers of that time.
The inspiration behind the Foamposite model actually came from sunglass protection. Thus, Nike had stepped outside of that era’s norm for sneaker designs, ending up with a basketball shoe that combined foam-like, seamless, polyurethane uppers with the most revolutionary performance characteristics. In 2017, Nike will celebrate the Air Foamposite’s 20th Anniversary and in commemoration of the milestone, three of most popular Air Foamposite One colorways are turning next year.
Back in mid-August, Nike had revealed that it is bringing back the iconic, original “Dark Neon Royal,” and the highly popular retro “Copper” and “Eggplant” colorways. Back in 2010, these two retro colorways of this futuristic model were significantly coveted. Even though Nike has not had much to offer as far as the Air Foamposite Pro is concerned, but keep checking back to get further news and updates about upcoming Air Foamposite 2017 releases.
