Some noteworthy Jordan releases inspired by MJ’s former team include the Air Jordan 9 Retro “Barons, the Air Jordan 12 GS “Barons” and the Air Jordan 13 “Barons.” The Air Jordan 9 Retro “Barons” had even appeared on the court. Back in April 2014, during the game between the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs that the Spurs ended up winning, Kawhi Leonard was laced up in the Air Jordan 9 Retro “Barons.” It makes sense considering that Kawhi is a Jordan Brand athlete, a part of the Spurs and the color scheme of the sneaker he wore is similar to the official Spurs team colors.
Sneakerheads already have an Air Jordan 11 to cop before 2016 comes to an end in the form of the returning “Space Jam” colorway. However, next year the low-top version of the Air Jordan 11 will arrive in a “Barons” colorway. The color scheme of the sneaker is as understated as Michael Jordan’s baseball career had been. As can be seen in these latest, detailed photos, this sneaker’s uppers are dressed up in a combination of Black, Metallic Silver and White. Its nubuck uppers are predominantly covered in tonal Black, while Ash Grey appears over its patent leather overlays. The heel tabs also featured embroidered “Jumpman” and “23” branding, while the finishing touch has been added with clean White-colored soles.
Its been a while since the Air Jordan 11 has hit the shelves in its low-cut form, but that will change next year. It is being reported that the Air Jordan 11 Low “Barons” will make its retail debut at a price of $175 among the April Jordan releases 2017.
