By the end of January, it was revealed that adidas and White Mountaineering also an EQT 93-17 Boost iteration. The classic model from the archives of the adidas Equipment running lineup received a collaborative upgrade in the form of Primeknit uppers and Boost cushioning, while the medial side of each shoe featured nubuck detailing. On March 2nd, the White Mountaineering x adidas NMD R2 also made its retail debut at a price of $250. Last but not least, the Spring 2017 collaboration between adidas and White Mountaineering also ended up including a Superstar Slip-on. The shoe was equipped with Boost tooling, neoprene slip-on uppers, and overlays straps.
As mentioned, the NMD R2 has been a part of a White Mountaineering x adidas collaboration once before. In fact, these two brand new, upcoming iterations look similar to the one that hit the shelves back in March. Dressed up in a combination of Black and White, and Olive and White, these two colorways of the NMD R2 seem to be summer-themed. As always, the fore-foot of each shoe features the signature three stripes with repetitive Black-colored adidas and White Mountaineering branding on all three of them. More branding can also be spotted throughout the rest of the shoes.
It is being reported that this NMD R2 release might actually a part of an upcoming collaborative capsule between the two brands, which may include apparel and more kicks. Hence, while these White Mountaineering x adidas NMD R2 colorways are scheduled for a July 2017 release, an exact data has not been revealed, but they will apparently retail for $250 each.
