Sneakerheads may or may not know this but the GS variation of the Nike Air Max 95 OG “Grape” hit the shelves all over the nation by the end of July. A week before that the Nike Air Max 95 OG “Neon” had also been re-released and despite having already given collectors some nostalgia by dropping one OG colorway of the AM 95 after another, it looks like Nike has more in store. While the sneaker seen here is the Nike Air Max 95 OG “Grape,” it is actually the men’s variation that is yet to arrive at nationwide retailers on one of the Nike release dates 2015.
No doubt, Jordan Brand certainly celebrated a monumental milestone this year, i.e. their 30th Anniversary, but they are the only sneaker label doing so. It was 20 years ago that the Air Max 95 made its original retail debut and to commemorate this milestone anniversary in 2015, Nike decide to retro a very admired and iconic rendition of the classic Air Max 95 model.
While this men’s variation fundamentally resembles its women’s counterpart, this version sports the original makeup with the same tones as the original release. Hence, the upper is dressed up in a gradient grey- and white-colored hue throughout, while the lace eyelets, miniature Nike Swoosh branding on the heel, the outsole and the tongue have all been complemented by a vibrant Purple hue. To add one final pop of color, Emerald Green accents can be spotted on the tongue and over the visible Air Max unit in the sole.
The fact of the matter is that this men’s version of the Nike Air Max 95 “Grape” is already up for grabs overseas. However, one of the upcoming Nike release dates 2015 has yet to be confirmed for the arrival of this sneaker at US-based retailers. Hopefully it will be very soon and it is likely that all the male sneakerheads in the States are eager to get their hands on this classic iteration.
