The four photos seen directly above are actually of the upcoming Nike Flyknit Mariah Racer colorways. As mentioned, this new model is inspired by both the Flyknit Racer and the Air Mariah. It is still a running shoe that has been designed to be sleek, while being equipped with features like Flyknit uppers, Flywire detailing, sock-like collars, and it also seems to have borrowed the Flyknit Racer’s soles. These four photos were originally shared on Inflammable.com. As of now, Nike has not confirmed when exactly the Flyknit Mariah Racer will making its retail debut in these colorways, but they are definitely arriving this very month.
For sneakerheads who do not know, the Nike Duellist is a racing sneaker that was introduced back in 1988. It is probably not a coincidence that the Duellist made its debut around the same time that Nike released the Air Mariah, which is now also being revamped at the same time. The upcoming Duel Racer has uppers made up of mesh material and have been designed to be sock-like. This model is also equipped with TPU heel counters and features synthetic overlays too, all of which make it more durable and stable. Even the Black and White color blocking that appears over its uppers has been borrowed from the original Duellist.
So far, it is being reported that Nike will be dropping this very first colorway of the Duel Racer on July 22nd, 2017. This could also mean that that the four debuting Nike Flyknit Mariah Racer colorways featured here might also end up hitting the shelves on the same date, or around the same time.
