The Zoom Flight 95 featured geometric shapes, overemphasized molds, weaving midsoles and Zoom Air cushioning. All of these not only made the Zoom Flight 95 look modern, they also enabled it to complement and support Jason’s abilities on the court. For readers who do not know, it was the famous Nike designer Eric Avar who designed the Zoom Flight 95. Eric Avar drew inspiration from geometric shapes and movement, and he wanted to design a model to support Jason Kidd’s on-court power and speed. According to Eric, designing this silhouette was both an artistic and a scientific endeavor.
It was back in April when it was revealed that the Zoom Flight 95 would be receiving the NikeLab treatment this year. The NikeLab Zoom Flight 95 has finally made its retail debut in three different colorways, namely a “Black/Sail,” a “Mushroom/Black/Sail,” and a “Pearl/Grey/Sail” one. The uppers of all three iterations are made up of premium leather, while they also feature nubuck overlays. Its trims are also made up of leather and its side panels are covered in perforations, all of which make the silhouette appear and feel unique. It is also equipped with carbon fiber paneling, rubber midsoles and translucent, rubber outsoles.
While many sneakerheads probably have a Zoom Flight 95 pair or more as a part of their collection, they can now also add the NikeLab variation to their collection too. Since these three NikeLab Zoom Flight 95 colorways have already hit the shelves, so sneakerheads can cop any of them at a price of $160 each.
