Virgil Abloh has been expanding his streetwear brand and label Off-White quite rapidly ever since he launched it back in 2013. Earlier this month, Virgil Abloh decided to further capitalize on the Asian sneaker market as well, specifically that in China. Even though there was already an Off-White store in Hong Kong, he launched a new one the city on April 5th. In case sneakerheads thought that the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 was going to be the only release of its kind this year, they are actually wrong. It turns out that Off-White will be collaborating with both Jordan Brand and Nike on several different sneaker models.
Off-White’s recently launched store in Hong Kong is the ninth one overall. Virgil Abloh designed the store himself and it covers a space of 746 square feet. The industrial-look store has two floors, with the bottom floor covered in bare concrete, while it also features an exposed ceiling that has interlocking metal rods. The store looks quite extravagant with gold countertops and fixtures, and the top floor even features mint-green colored carpeting and curtains. Of course, the store has been open for a few weeks now, and it seems that Off-White is all ready to move onto the next big thing, i.e. more collaborative sneaker releases.
Just recently, Twitter user SHOF () shared quite an interesting photo that has a black-colored background and a list of Jordan Brand and Nike sneakers in green-colored font. The photo above probably reminds sneakerheads of The Matrix, but it actually depicts a list of all the upcoming Off-White x Jordan Brand and Off-White x Nike collaborative releases. It turns out that along with the Air Jordan Retro High OG, an Off-White x Air Jordan 3 Retro OG will also be joining upcoming Jordan releases 2017 and even though it has not been unveiled yet, sneakerheads can expect an avant garde look.
Additionally, the photo also reveals that Off-White will also be collaborating with Nike to work on models like the Air Force 1 Ultraforce Mid, Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0, the Air Max 90 in an “Ice” colorway, Air Presto, Air Vapormax Flyknit, Blazer Studio Mid, Cortez Ultra, and the Lunarepic Flyknit. As for Off-White x Air Jordan 3 Retro OG, sneakerheads should keep checking back for more updates.
