The Air Jordan 1 High “Wings” Could End Up Being A Charity Release

The “Wings” branding has been a part of the Air Jordan history, ever since Nike first introduced the revolutionary sneaker model. The logo was chosen to represent Michael Jordan’s ability to spread his metaphorical “wings” and soar into the air. Over the years, the “Wings” logo has consistently appeared over nearly all Air Jordan sneakers that have arrived at retailers. Back in 2015, Jordan Brand launched their WINGS program, a global community action program, and in 2016, they dropped the Air Jordan 12 “Wings” for charity. It seems that the Air Jordan 1 is receiving the “Wings” treatment this year, which could likely be another charity-based release. Last year, i.e. in 2016, Jordan Brand went on somewhat of a spree of dropping one Air Jordan release after another, a few of which were returning colorways. One of them was the Air Jordan 12 “French Blue,” which was brought back the very next day after April Fool’s Day last year, on April 2nd, 2016. The sneaker made its comeback in celebration of the Air Jordan 12’s 20th anniversary and the last time it was seen at retail shelves was back in 2004. Off-White Will Also Collaborate With Jordan Brand To Design An Air Jordan 3

Virgil Abloh has been expanding his streetwear brand and label Off-White quite rapidly ever since he launched it back in 2013. Earlier this month, Virgil Abloh decided to further capitalize on the Asian sneaker market as well, specifically that in China. Even though there was already an Off-White store in Hong Kong, he launched a new one the city on April 5th. In case sneakerheads thought that the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 was going to be the only release of its kind this year, they are actually wrong. It turns out that Off-White will be collaborating with both Jordan Brand and Nike on several different sneaker models. The Air Jordan 11 “Midnight Navy” Is Jordan Brand’s Black Friday 2017 Release

For Black Friday 2016, Jordan Brand treated sneakerheads by bringing back the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘88 “True Blue” in remastered form. Jordan Brand has a tradition of bringing back an original or dropping a brand new Air Jordan 11 Mid colorway every year, referred to as the annual Air Jordan 11 releases. Last year, it was the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” that made its highly-anticipated comeback on December 10th, 2016 for the film’s 20th Anniversary. Jordan Brand Has Designed Three Sample Air Jordan 13 Low Golf Shoe Colorways

It has become somewhat of a trend for Jordan Brand to transform some of their most iconic sneakers into golf shoes. This year though, Jordan Brand decided to release a golf variation of not only an iconic model, but also an iconic colorway of that model. Early 2017 marked the release of an Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” Golf Shoes. Sneakerheads will agree that the Air Jordan 1 is one of Jordan Brand’s most iconic model and “Chicago” is one of its most iconic colorways.
