The Air Jordan 6 “Alternate” Finally Made Its Much-Awaited Retail Debut Last Week

Back in June 2015, while half of that year still remained, Jordan Brand decided to some early unveiling of their Spring 2016 releases that were scheduled to be dropped the year after. When it comes to integral retro releases, Jordan Brand always tends to be well-prepared. As a tribute to Player Exclusive sneakers, Jordan Brand whipped up a jaw-dropping “Alternate” collection. It included An Air Jordan 2 87, an Air Jordan 4 89 and an Air Jordan 5 90, all three dressed up in alternate Chicago Bulls color schemes. The Air Jordan 6 “Alternate,” which basically follows the same theme as 2016’s “Alternate”, finally made its retail debut last week. The Air Jordan 8 “Alternate” Is Arriving Alongside The Jordan 12 Low “Playoff”

Back in 2016, the Air Jordan 8 was a part of two different packs. Even before it was officially announced, sneakerheads already knew that last year’s annual Championship Pack would consist of the Air Jordan 8, much like how this year’s pack will include the Air Jordan 9. The pack contained the “Champagne” and “Confetti” colorways of the Air Jordan 8. The Air Jordan 8 was also included in 2016’s Kobe Pack, which included an iteration that was dressed up in the colors of the Los Angeles Lakers. While the Air Jordan 8 already joined the recent Jordan releases 2017, now its “Alternate” colorway is arriving too. The Air Jordan 8 Will Also Be Receiving The “Alternate” Treatment In 2017

The Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” was one of the top ten sneakers of April 2013. Despite being dubbed “Bugs Bunny,” it was actually a retro colorway that had arrived at retailers twice before and was simply known as the Air Jordan 8 Retro “White / Black – True Red.” Jordan Brand had originally dropped the Air Jordan 8 Retro “White / Black – True Red” on March 1st, 2003 and it retailed at a price of $135. This sneaker arrived at retailers once again as a part of 2008’s Countdown Package. This brand new Air Jordan 8 colorway featured here probably reminds sneakerheads of that Bugs Bunny-themed iteration. The USC Trojans’ Locker Room Was Filled With Air Jordan “Gym Red” Pairs

For the time being at least, it kind of seems like Jordan Brand has taken a break with its flurry of Air Jordan 12 releases. Of course, 2016 had somehow turned out to be the year of the Air Jordan 12 and that still might be the case, since there are still several innovative colorways that Jordan Brand intends to drop later this year. These include the Air Jordan 12 “Black Nylon,” “Deep Royal Blue” and “Wool.” The Air Jordan 12 “Gym Red” was among the model’s most popular releases in 2016 and the USC Trojans football team recently received free pairs of the iteration. Jordan 12 “Alternate” Arrives Early & Other AJ12s Are On Their Way Too

During the 1997 NBA Finals when the Chicago Bulls and the Utah Jazz were tied with each other, Michael Jordan performed impressively on behalf of this team despite suffering from flu-like symptoms. He lifted the Bulls to a series lead all the while laced up in an Air Jordan 12 colorway that ended up getting dubbed the “Flu Game.” This weekend marks the 19th anniversary of that game that was played on June 11, 1997 and Jordan Brand is looking forward to celebrate the milestone by setting up a special pop-up shop.
