One of the most celebrated and legendary endorsements that Jordan Brand has ever worked on is undoubtedly none other than the Air Jordan “Mars Blackmon” advertisement campaign. A lot of sneakerheads probably do not know where that ad campaign originated from. Back then, Widen+Kennedy was Nike’s ad agency of choice. Around that time, Michael Jordan and Spike Lee had already teamed up with each other for Jordan releases numerous times. The Air Jordan 4 “Motorsports” Is Apparently Arriving At Retailers In March 2017

Rumors about the official 2017 return of one of the rarest Air Jordan 4 colorways had begun circulating ever since August 2016. It was Dino Hatfield () who had tweeted that Jordan Brand was planning to bring back the Air Jordan 4 “Motorsports” in 2017. For sneakerheads who do not know, Jordan Brand had whipped up this iteration back in 2006 around the time the AIr Jordan 4 “Mars” had been dropped. The Air Jordan 4 “Motorsports” even slightly resembles the “Mars” rendition. It was already being rumored that this sneaker would be among the Spring Jordan releases 2017, but now an unofficial release date has surfaced. The Jordan 4 “Motorsports” From 2006 Might Receive A General Release In 2017

Back when Jordan Brand first dropped the Air Jordan 4 “Mars Blackmon,” its actual nickname was “Fire Red Mars.” It makes sense because not only do the heels of this sneaker feature an embossed photo of Mars Blackmon, they are also dressed up in a combination of Black, Varsity Red and White. For those who have no clue who Mars Blackmon is, he was a character that Spike Lee played in his 1986 comedy-drama film, She’s Gotta Have It. Following the original release of this sneaker, an alternate “Motorsports” version was also created, which will apparently be among 2017’s Air Jordan releases.
