The Carolina Blue, Pantone or University Blue has been frequently used by Jordan Brand due to it being one of the official colors of the University of North Carolina, Michael Jordan’s alma mater. The Chicago Bulls roster, including Jimmy Butler, were at the White House back in January 2015 and received a tour of the President’s residence. Even the Jordan Super.Fly 3 was Jimmy’s latest signature model at that time, he was laced up in the Air Jordan 14 “Pantone” for that particular occasion. It turns out that the Spring/Summer’s Jordan releases 2017 are scheduled to include a “Pantone” colorway of the Air Jordan 7. This Air Jordan 7 “Pantone” Is Paying Homage To Michael Jordan’s Alma Mater

Color has always been quintessential in terms of representing the Carolina Athletics brand. There are plenty of complementary color pairings and well-matched palettes that can be built using the hues that make up the primary identify of the Carolina Athletics brand. Its primary palette consists of Carolina Blue (Pantone 542C) and White, while the while its secondary palette includes Flat Grey, Navy Blue, Pitch Black and Silver. Of course, Michael Jordan used to study at the University of North Carolina, which explains Jordan Brand’s frequent use of the Pantone (Carolina Blue) hue, such as over the brand new Air Jordan 7 colorway featured here. This Jordan 2 Low “University Blue” Releases Alongside The Jordan 9 Low “Pantone”

Perhaps it may seem hard to believe but the Air Jordan 2 Low has arguably been on one Jordan Brand’s favorite low-top models top as a part of their summer 2016 Air Jordan releases. This year, the Air Jordan 2 Low made its comeback in the “Chicago” colorway that Michael Jordan himself had worn on the court 22 years ago, back in 1994. Recently on May 7th, Jordan Brand once again dropped the Air Jordan 2 Low in a rendition dressed in almost entirely in Infrared and dubbed “Bright Mango” for some reason.
