The Kobe 9 & 10 “Black Mamba/FTB” Are Arriving On The Same Day

As February neared its conclusion, news began spreading that Nike would be commemorating Kobe Bryant’s farewell to the sport of basketball with a “Fade To Black” Collection. By the end of March, Nike finally unveiled the assemblage of Kobe’s signature models, which are collectively also being referred to as the “Black Mamba” Pack. In fact, the collection includes thirteen of Kobe’s signature silhouettes, which includes the two unofficial Huarache 2k4 and the 2008 Hyperdunk OG. These two models date back to when Kobe had first signed with Nike back in 2003 soon after he terminated his partnership with adidas.

Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low FTBIt was not until 2006 when the Nike started designing and introduced the first installment of the Kobe signature series. Ever since, Kobe Bryant continued to play a monumental part in some of the sport’s most historic moments, prompting Nike to preserve his legacy with one signature model after another, leading up to the Kobe 11. Nike decided not to drop the entire “Black Mamba” or “Fade To Black” Collection simultaneously, but the Huarache 2k4 from the pack made its retail debut on March 22nd, officially debuting the collection as well. The silhouettes from the collection have been hitting the shelves in chronological order since then.

Apparently, next in line are the Kobe 9 Elite High “Black Mabma” and Kobe 10 Elite Low “Black Mabma,” both of which look quite alike and arrive at retailers on the same day. The Flyknit uppers of the Kobe 9 Elite High, including their extended ankles, are dressed up entirely in different tones of anthracite. The low-cut Flyknit uppers of this Kobe 10 Elite are completely covered in dark obsidian, while this sneaker also appears to be equipped with dark blue-colored translucent outsoles.

Nike Kobe 9 Elite FTBIt is quite coincidental that both these sneakers are making their way to retailers on the same day and will be retailing at the same price of $200. These Kobe 9 Elite High and Kobe 10 Elite Low from Nike’s “Black Mamba” or “Fade To Black” Collection will hit the shelves on April 11th.
