It was back in the 90’s when leading sportswear companies began designing classic basketball shoe models. Modern day sneakerheads probably do not find it surprising that several sneaker silhouettes had introduced back then are regarded as classics. It was also during the 90’s when the Nike Air Flight Squad was first spotted on the courts. Nike actually created the Air Flight Squad by mashing two particular silhouettes that sneakerheads are familiar with, namely the Air Flight 89 and Air Tech Challenge 2. Moreover, this colorway is not the only Air Flight Squad Nike release 2015 of this year.
Not so long ago, the Nike Air Flight Squad made hit the shelves at select Nike Sportswear retailers in a “Red October” colorway. The sneaker is made up of a completely perforated leather upper, which is dressed up in a University Red color scheme. The breathable sneaker is also equipped with a visible Air-Sole for lightweight cushioning, which takes inspiration from ’90’s hoops shoes. For this next iteration, Nike seems to have taken a more monochromatic approach and hence, the colorway has been dubbed “Triple Black.”
Similar to the “Red October” version, this Air Flight Squad rendition consists of an all-Black upper that appears to be made of dimpled leather. Both sides of this sneaker feature smooth leather Nike Swoosh, which are dressed up in tonal black as well. To add the finishing touch, a tonal black rubber sole has been added beneath.
The all-Black appearance of this sneaker makes it look quite ominous and sleek, and it will be worth copping for those who want to stock up their wardrobes before winter arrives. The Air Flight Squad “Red October” has is already a Nike release 2015 that is currently up for grabs, and now the same can be said about this “Triple Black” colorway too. Select Nike Sportswear retailers, such as Titolo, currently have the Air Flight Squad “Triple Back” on retail.
