Back when Spring had just arrived, Nike introduced the newest member of their Free line, the Nike Free Socfly. In all honesty, the running shoe is quite sock-like in terms of being lightweight, which makes it quite worthwhile for runners. However, after dropping several different colorways of the model, it seemed like Nike was no longer interested in whipping up new iterations, especially considering that sneakerheads had grown fond of the silhouette. They will be glad to learn that the Free Sockfly has returned and they can look forward to the Nike release 2015 of this new colorway.
Over the years, Nike has a regularly dropped new models and silhouettes to add to their Free line, leading to its constant growth. The Nike Free Socfly is one such model that made its debut this year. As its name likely suggests, Nike has designed this running silhouette to offer the wearer a snug, sock-like fit. The mesh of the sneaker is one piece and it has been paired with a Nike 4.0 Free sole. The overlays of this sneaker are made up of Hyperfuse, while it is also equipped with a mid-foot strap. April 6th, 2015 marked the retail debut of the Nike Free Socfly and now the model is back in a winter-themed colorway.
The colder months of the year generally coincide with the arrival of sneakers dressed up darker hues and this “Grey Camo” colorway of the Nike Free Socfly is no different. The nickname of this colorway refers to the grey camouflage print covering the toecap, extending across the side panels and around the heel. The grey camo print also appears across the mid-foot strap as well. Similarly, the collar and toebox of this colorway are dressed up in solid black.
The Nike release 2015 of the Free Socfly “Grey Camo” has already taken place but only overseas, and retailers like Coutie are currently retailing the sneaker for €110. At the moment Nike remains silent about whether or not this new Free Socfly colorway will also hit the shelves in the U.S.
