Many sneakerheads probably do not which Nike model was the first to have the “Zoom Air” tag officially featured on it. The Zoom Air Flight 95 is also considered as being responsible for playing a part in enabling Nike’s innovative Zoom Air line to be where it is today. The Zoom Air Flight 95 had originally been designed as a signature model for Jason Kidd, back when he was playing for the Phoenix Suns. The silhouette’s overlays resembling Carbon Fiber and the pods over its midsoles made it stand out quite a lot. In 2017, it seems that the Zoom Air Flight 95 is receiving the NikeLab treatment.
Back in 2012, Nike paid tribute to a number of NBA athletes, including Jason Kidd. The Pack that was designed as homage to him contained a Phoenix Suns-inspired colorway of the Zoom Air Flight 95. Back in September 2015, the Nike Zoom Air Flight 95 made quite an unexpected comeback. It was the original Black and White colorway that returned and had been available at a select few Foot Locker locations through the globe. That very year in October, Nike unveiled quite a beautiful looking woven Zoom Air Flight 95 iteration. Despite not impressed by it initially, sneakerheads quickly grew fond of that particular colorway.
Many of Nike’s renowned models have received the NikeLab treatment over the years and the latest one to seems to be the Zoom Air Flight 95. Along with the NikeLab treatment, the Zoom Air Flight 95 has apparently undergone a premium makeover at the same time as well. The uppers of these iterations are made up of premium leather materials, while its cushioned Zoom Air soles have a carbon fiber-like material above them. As for their color schemes, one of them is predominantly dressed up in “Black,” the other in “Pink Dust,” and the third in “Tan,” and all three of them all also sport various-colored accents and detailing.
For many sneakerheads, one of the great things about this NikeLab recreation of the model is the fact that the midsoles of these sneakers still feature their large, signature pods. While a release date has not been announced yet, these three NikeLab Zoom Air Flight 95 colorways can be expected to arrive at Nike.com and select NikeLab locations very soon.
